New Masters of Poster Design 2 : John Foster

For those of you who still think (despite all I told and shown you before) that posters are all about naked ladies, bones and dices, America and flying eyeballs, here is the perfect book to discover that this world is wider than you think. No skulls, hot rods or pin ups here, but just more than 300 examples of perfect graphic.

Of course, you will argue that all of them are not "gig"posters and (shame !) most of them are not even silkscreened, but nothing on the cover of the book says so. And, honestly, with a tcasting including rare artists such as Kuokwai Cheong (China), Kiko Farkas (Brazil), Homework (Poland), Ostengruppe (Russia) or the great Mehdi Saeedi (Iran) 

Along with those artists finally highlighted, the book is an opportunity to discover the wonderful animal work of Mark Brooks from Barcelona, or to feel the flavour of 1930s european poster with Christopher Gray from Sweden.

Of course some of the best US artists are also displayed here, like Geoff Peveto's Decoder Ring Design Concern or the unmissable f2 design team or legends such as Dr Alderete.

Definitly a "must have" book, with a completly different approach of the poster world; a fresh and curious point of view. A masterpiece indeed !!!!
